COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS PROJECT

AHF is a volunteer-driven organization. Volunteers are given stipends to help facilitate their communication and basic needs. AHF has a total of 2O1 CHWs which includes Traditional Birth Attendants (TBA) and 36 CHWs coordinators. The objective of this project is to engage CHWs to provide basic healthcare services at Primary health Level one (Household units) and level two (Dispensary). CHWs collaborate with nurses at the dispensary level to increase patient care.


Specific Project Objectives: To Provide:

  1. Outreach, counseling, and referrals
  2. Medication adherence support 
  3. Home Hygiene and Sanitation education
  4. Home-Based HIV C&T Promotion, 
  5. Children immunization and maternal care referrals
  6. Assistance to Healthcare Providers at the clinics
  7. Nutrition Support to HIV/AIDS and TB Patients
  8. Eradication of jiggers
  9. Free Medical Camps
  10. Home hygiene
  11. Health Education
